Kære V Jeg har altid oplevet vores visuelle verdner som parallelle. Som om dine billeder spejlede en genkendelighed, både som en tilstand og som en sansning af virkeligheden. En fredfyldt og subtil ro, som kunne jeg svagt høre lydene fra gården i Strandgade komme ind gennem de åbne vinduer. Som kunne jeg næsten række ud og røre Idas nakke eller hendes mørke kjole. Dine farver ligger i maleriet, som et raffineret underlag, et næsten usynligt strejf af gulokker et sted, eller lidt rosa, så virtuost underspillet at man taber vejret. Jeg læner mig op ad dig, med mit kamera, jeg læner mig og håber på frie fald af lys og stille stuer. M
Dear V I have always perceived our visual worlds as parallel. As if Your paintings reflected a recognizability, both as a state of mind and as a perception of reality. A serene and subtle peacefulness, as if I could faintly hear the sounds from the courtyard in Strandgade floating in through the open windows. As if I could almost reach out and touch Ida's neck or her dark dress. Your colours lie in Your paintings as a refined backdrop, an almost imperceptible touch of yellow ochre one place, or a little pink, so masterfully understated that it takes ones breath away. I lean on You with my camera, I lean and hope for quiet rooms and subtle rays of penetrating light. M
